On July 14th, 2020 I - repeatedly - stayed at the Landgasthof ″ Adler ″ on a business trip. I was accommodated in a double room (No. 12), which was comfortably furnished (“Black Forest rustic”, so a lot of wood), big enough and very clean. The same applies to the bathroom. The room / bathroom left a new and very well-kept impression. The dining room is inviting and comfortable and you just feel good (also rustic, but not brutal 😊). The menu is pleasantly clear and includes typical dishes for a country inn. The portions are big enough and very attractively arranged and taste delicious! I describe the price / performance ratio as absolutely okay and the host, who is also the maître de cuisine, is courteous and very committed. Overall, it must be emphasized that the "Adler" obviously paid particular attention to cleanliness and maintenance of the rooms. The same also applies to the dining room. There is also an attractive beer garden. I spend around 70 - 80 nights a year in hotels and (preferably) in (country) inns. I felt very comfortable in the "Adler" and would come back anytime. I was a guest of the Hartmann family for two days. The single room with shared bathroom was very clean, spacious and included a very good breakfast for € 36. Worthy of mention are the excellent, fresh cuisine and the warm service from the owners and all employees. The bottom line is a surprisingly positive stay with a very good price / performance ratio. Should I be in the area again in the future, I will certainly not look for alternatives. P.S. The opinion of some reviewers here that the food is too expensive should perhaps first find out about the costs for restaurateurs. It should be clear to everyone that fresh kitchens with the corresponding personnel costs are much more cost-intensive than convenience schnitzel with ready-made sauce for € 10.50. Unfortunately, in Germany there is often a lack of appreciation and understanding for "real" restaurateurs!

Absolutely great and incredibly nice service! Unfortunately we had to travel during the corona crisis and since all the restaurants were closed in the evening, we were served sandwiches, a fruit basket and drinks in our room. This is really great customer service! Thank you so much!

We came for lunch on Sunday. The old historical building exudes a homely atmosphere as soon as you enter. Table reserved, nicely laid, friendly welcome and fast service. The food was very good, the price was moderate, the service was always friendly, what more could you want?

Great value for money, family run business with great restaurant food on offer, popular place in spring and summer - I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Zurich looking for a more economical alternative & willing to travel a bit further to cut down costs (like me!)

Once again we could enjoy the excellent food in this nice inn. The service was very friendly and attentive. The rooms are very clean and nicely furnished. The beds are very good. We spent a very nice weekend and will definitely be back!

To start it is a place of wood, typical of the area. The traditional cassolana cuisine, very good. We asked for a menu, despite being Sunday and it was all very good. We even drank red wine from the house, coffees, no desserts because we were already tips and we went for about € 30 / person. Ah and the excellent service;)

Unfortunately, the Gasthaus Adler wasn't quite what I had hoped for. Ordered mixed salad with rump steak from the grill and homemade spaetzle such as vegetables and gravy. The service was very friendly 😊 and helpful. The mixed salad was very good Now to the main menu. Unfortunately, two stars disappear there⭐️⭐️. The meat was flavorful but had to be chewed really well. So I expect more from a rump steak, that it is more tender. The vegetables and the homemade spaetzle like the gravy were not something special for my taste. I'm used to something better for this price. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean a second visit to this inn for me.

Excellent restaurant: asparagus, schnitzel, vegetable accompaniments, potato croquettes. White beer. Riesling. Welcome with kindness and smile.

In the heart of Oberlauchringen located economy with quaint ambience. Staff very friendly and accommodating. The soup was delicious and creamy. The side salad was seasonal. Turkey breast of homemade spaetzle and freshly made fried potatoes was juicy and delicious. The bacon cheese burger was juicy and tasty.

Simply fantastic, real german style with kidness

Wonderful gem of a find for the weary traveller! I have stayed here several times in the past 2-3 months and will continue to come back. Its about an hour away from Zurich for those seeking an alternative to overpriced and overhyped accomodation there. The staff are super friendly and welcoming - not sure if they speak english or not - and the prices are very reasonable.

High quality. Simple, familiar, with friendly persones, and delicius foods. If you want to choose a great place, it can be the best option.

Relatively authentic German food, mainly meat based, rich dishes. Several Schnitzel varieties. Cosy and silent atmosphere in the dining rooms. Al a carte based menu and a bit over-prized considering location and competitiveness. However, Delicious food especially the schnitzel and fish varieties (Fish varieties: only after next day of fasching fest last day). Wein options available however, not included in menu card. Customer might get confused if the he is not belong to that surrounding region.
